Midtown Place

Midtown Place opened in 2000 on the site of the old Atlanta Crackers baseball field (many years ago). Major tenants including Home Depot, Borders Books, Whole Foods, and PetSmart, plus a host of smaller merchants have brought a bit of suburbia into the heart of intown Atlanta. Some area residents resent the size, traffic, and lack of charm of the development, but most make use of the retail opportunities. A huge parking lot borders the linear shopping center, and spaces can be found relatively easily at all but the busiest shopping times.
